The Peculiar Archive: Cameos

You have played Kid Icarus. You have been turned into an eggplant. Yet, something is missing in your life. You feel as though there may well be eggplant wizards that
you have not encountered. How could this be? Well...
Eggplant Spotting Number One (The Obvious):
The Eggplant Wizards were originally spotted in the NES password feature pack Kid Icarus. They only stayed in the palaces in the forth level of each world, knowing that without the special combination of Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Sulfur provided by the stalagtites within, their lungs would surely disintigrate.
Eggplant Wizard Spotting Number Two (The Very, Very Cold):
Previous to the making of Kid Icarus, Nintendo's Ice Climber cart featured a pteradactyl of sorts. This prehistoric beast would fly up each mountain previous to the playing of a level, stalling oh-so-seductively atop the peak. What vegetable was the monster carrying?
Why, none other than an eggplant, of course. I have a suspition that the purple accesory may have been the programmers' inspiration for the Wizards.
Once at the top of the mount, our dino would wait innocently for a climber to hop for the magic prize: a firm, vibrant eggplant.
Eggplant Spotting Number Three (Eggplants in the Workplace):
Depending on your allegiance, this Wrecking Crew enemy was either the original Eggplant Wizard, or a cheap imitation. My stance is that it is the beta version, i.e. Eggy 2.0 gold. Yes, he is short. Yes, he is thin. Yes, his body is rectangular in shape. Yes, he is nothing in comparison to Icarus' Eggy. Yet, despite all of his short comings, he is a member of the Eggplant Wizard family, and we must love him like an in-law.
